Treating vaginal infection

IF you have a vaginal yeast infection then the chances are you will want to be treated as soon as possible. This isn't surprising as of course it can be a very annoying problem to have - but before you do you must consider whether you are treating it with the right treatment. For example, the symptoms of a yeast infection are so broad that they could be caused by another problem, perhaps more serious. For this reason you should always get a diagnosis from your doctor who will hopefully be able to pick up on anything that might be amiss.

Can men get them?

One of the more common questions is can men get yeast infections. Well obviously they can't get vaginal ones! But they can get a yeast infection, usually residing beneath the foreskin. This can be a problem because while the male might not have any symptoms the infection can still be passed back to the female so even after she has been treated the problem seems to come back, when in reality it is just because the male still had the problem. Your doctor may advise that both the male and the female should get treated.
